Resident Nun: Venerable Ani Stanzin Chorol
Venerable Ani Stanzin Chorol has been a Tibetan Buddhist nun since the age of 15. Ani Stanzin trained in all the Buddhist monastic ceremonies and rituals in Nepal for four years. After that she went back to Ladakh Drikung Kyobpa Chortling Nunnery and studied there for many years and she has done 6 months Ngondro retreat in Ladakh.
She was a teacher for the novice nuns and held the position of disciplinarian (geko).
Ani Stanzin Chorol is the resident nun and chanting master (omzed) at Chicago Ratna Shri and speaks 4 languages including English. Ani la has been our resident nun since 2016, she is the On-site Director for our center.
