Chicago Ratna Shri Sangha is pleased announce Tibetan Buddhist teachings with Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche, April 15, 16, & 17. Don't miss the opportunity to hear lucid and erudite teachings from Khenchen Rinpoche!
Khenchen Rinpoche spends a great deal of time traveling in order to give teachings and lead retreats. Khenchen has established centers throughout the US and in Chile, and Khenchen frequently visits in Europe, especially Germany and Austria, as well as Southeast Asia.
A skilled and dedicated translator, Khenchen has published six books: Great Kagyu Masters, Garland of Mahamudra Practices, A Treasury of Advice, Prayer Flags, Jewel Ornament of Liberation, and Transformation of Suffering.
*Registration Note: To receive teachings from Khenchen is very precious and rare seating will fill up very quickly and unfortunately seating is very limited in the Sangha space so pre-registration is necessary.
Cost: We are using a Sliding Scale model to make our teaching events accessible for all individuals regardless of financial situation. We are asking for sliding scale of $35 to $50 per day of the teachings.
Recommended donation for entire weekend: $105 - $150.
Note: Please enter which days you are attending or "entire weekend" in the message box at checkout.
Sliding Scale Offering: This offering only works when people pay what they truly can only afford. Please keep in mind that generosity, one of the six perfections (paramitas), is at the heart Buddhist practice. By being as generous as we can we enable others to attend teachings that otherwise couldn't. Holding teachings involves considerable costs, including airline fares, accommodation and food. The only way we can continue to bring amazing Buddhist masters such as Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche to our community is through the practice of your generosity.
*In the Buddhist tradition, the spiritual teachings are offered for everyone's benefit without charge. The concept of dana, or reciprocity and generosity, is "practiced" by everyone to support the lama (teacher), nuns and monks who live entirely by donation. All expenses are paid for through the generosity of the Sangha. Your donation is greatly appreciated and its ripples are tenfold!
